The relationship between the MKOE (Hungarian Cactus Collectors’ Association) and the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden dates back more than four decades. The first exhibition at the Zoo was held in 1979, and for more than a decade afterwards, the Zoo hosted the association’s major national exhibitions. This shared history has remained an important part of the MKOE’s exhibition tradition ever since.
On this occasion, plant enthusiasts can enjoy a spectacular display of special cacti and succulents, as well as a cactus sale. Experienced collectors will also be available to offer professional advice, making the event well worth a visit even for those who are just discovering these fascinating plants.
