Kürtöskalács Festival
Kürtöskalács Festival

We’ve been eagerly awaiting May, when we can celebrate this heavenly Hungarian delicacy with kids and adults alike. Months in advance, we brainstorm new ideas, and this year we’ve chosen to focus on the versatility of the KÜRTŐSBON (the new stuffed Chimney cake), as it’s still the hit product of recent years.

We’ve been experimenting with new flavours and have already tested them, so at this year’s festival, we’ll introduce the Double Raspberry KÜRTŐSBON, which is raspberry-flavoured inside and out, along with walnut and poppy-seed BEJGLIBON. Of course, the foundation of all our products remains the original Kürtőskalács baked over charcoal, because #alegjobbparázsonsütve [#bestovercoals], which we can enhance in many different ways.

Since May is the month of love, we’re happy to use one of our favourite ingredients: raspberries. Therefore, the Zoo’s Kürtőskalács stands will become a raspberry heaven – featuring raspberries in KÜRTŐSBON and the Sweet Bear’s special Kürtőskalács desserts. Additionally, guests can choose from various FLAVOUR BOMBS, which will be made from vegan ingredients, and there will be gluten-free, dairy-free, and egg-free Kürtőskalács available, as well as the traditional flavours.

Visitors can also try their hand at making authentic chimney cake at the Do-It-Yourself chimney cake stand.
At the 4th chimney cake Festival, family programs will take centre stage, with storytellers, puppet shows, crafts workshops, face painting, animal-related educational programs, and a variety of musical performances, including a show by Fruzsina Kovácsovics, who will entertain chimney cake fans.
