The World Press Photo exhibition showcases the world’s best and most important press and documentary photographs, selected by an independent jury. The exhibition encourages viewers to step outside the news cycle and think critically about the important issues in our world. We believe that accurate, diverse, and high-quality visual stories help promote mutual understanding globally.

The awarded 42 photographers represent 31 countries: Bangladesh, Belarus, Brazil, Colombia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, El Salvador, France, Germany, Haiti, Iran, Iran/Canada, Italy, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Palestine, Peru/Mexico, the Philippines, Portugal, Russia/Germany, South Korea, Spain, Sudan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Venezuela.
